Born in the old cotton mills of Ancoats, Manchester UK, we take the word hewn literally - we craft our soft colourful clothing exclusively with certified organic cotton, the most natural of materials.
The planet is at the heart of what we do - and by selecting organic cotton we ensure a water reduction of 90% compared to conventional cotton, with no harmful synthetic chemicals on the garment or into the environment.
But we go beyond material science, and take steps across our production - from twin-stitching vulnerable seams to make it last longer, through to planting two trees for every item we produce - so you can enjoy your super-soft, cosy 100% organic cotton pieces, 100% guilt-free.

Colour me impressed
Inspired by the colours of nature our collection features over 20 colours from deep Ocean Blue to vibrant Peach Orange we've got your essentials covered in every shade.
We use a process across our dyed colour range to ensure our waste-water and dye chemicals are separated and cleansed to ensure they don't damage the local environment.
That is of course except for our Natural Cotton colour - it's an amazing undyed option that minimises energy use that we think is the perfect neutral. Complete with little specks of imperfections (entirely normal!) it makes every piece truly unique.

Mustard Tree - Tackling Poverty and Homelessness
Mustard Tree is our local anti-poverty charity that works across our community to tackle homelessness and inequality. We give them any item we cannot sell to ensure there is no waste from our business and that it has a life beyond a landfill.

We reduce waste by only finishing our items here in the UK when you order. A little wait (we dispatch in 3-5 working days), a lot less waste. Delivered with a carbon-offset and in recyclable carbon-neutral packaging derived from sugarcane.
